Could a building tell when you’re lost?

I found this link to a news story filmed in America last November, at the “Centre for Cognitive Brain Imaging” in Pittsburg, and it got me thinking whether a building would be able to tell if we’re lost?

Its obvious that the technology isn’t here yet, and that a phone may be able to read my mind in the future, but what if a building could track our movements and help inform us of the right direction to take. People tracking already exists, but when designing for the future; to be innovative and creative with our ideas, should we be suggesting things that aren’t yet possible, but through research could be achievable such as wayfinding through MRI scanning mind reading?

Just a thought… or did someone, somewhere already know what i was thinking?
